reading
There are a few things I like to read on-line on a regular basis. (Personally, I'm much more of a book person.) One on-line favorite is The Onion. I also enjoy Satirewire.com, though at this point it is archive material only. Alas. For something a bit more serious, there is the The New York Review of Books.
I also enjoy a selection of comic strips, including Dilbert, Foxtrot, Mr. Boffo, Non-Sequiter, Sluggy Freelance, Redmeat, xkcd, Toothpaste for Dinner, PhD Comics, and Bunny
Read the Tale of the Plush Cthulhu, if you dare.

In my day job, I'm a pure mathematician in the School of Mathematics at the University of Southampton. If you're interested in finding out more (including links to papers I've written), click here.

aikido
Over the past several years, I have been studying aikido, a Japanese martial art. Here are some of the links I've found, for you to have a look at if you're interested in learning more about it.
My home dojo is the Southampton Shiseikan Aikido Dojo, in Southampton, England, which is affiliated with the British Aikido Federation.
The Aikido FAQ is a good place to start looking for information about aikido, as is AikiWeb, Aikido Journal, Aikido Today Magazine, and Aikido Online. In particular, Aikiweb has the Aikido Dojo Search Engine, for finding dojos around the world.

miscellany
I like collecting strange things on the internet, but many of them disappear fairly quickly. One that has persisted are the Evil Atheist Conspiracy. There are also the lego robot, the political compass, the pi translator, the The Coffee Review, the Psychic Chicken Network, the Bulwer-Lytton Fiction Contest Home Page, Klein bottles, Get out of Hell free cards, and The Dialectizer. There also this, ways the world might come to an end.
